Goldie I, aka Tulsa’s Golden Hurricane, was born March 21, 2013, and joined The University of Tulsa that summer with the announcement of TU’s Canine Ambassador Program.

She immediately captured the hearts of our students, faculty, staff and alumni. During her seven years on campus, Goldie greeted prospective students and their families during visits; she wandered McFarlin Library during finals week to offer a furry respite to would-be test-takers; and she attended athletic events to support Golden Hurricane teams and fans – and was even trained to retrieve the football tee after kickoff.
